Remember the adage about "All real estate is local?" It certainly applies in the case of Winston-Salem. Forbes magazine reports that home prices went UP in Winston-Salem by 3.4 percent at a time when the "national" market saw prices drops of 16 percent, according to the S&P Case-Shiller Index.
